AMARENA CHERRY BBQ SAUCE
1/4 cup onion, chopped 2 t. garlic chopped
3 T. sesame oil
1/3 cup rum
1/3 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Amarena
paste 3 T. brown sugar
2 t. soy sauce
2 T honey
1 t. red pepper flakes 1 T ginger, ground
2/3 cup
chopped amarena cherries
2 t. cumin, ground
1
T. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c water.
Saute onions and garlic in
sesame oil until tender. Add other ingredients and spices and simmer for 30 minutes. Thicken slightly with cornstarch and
water.
